In Vengeance: Roll & Fight, players are transported into a world of fast-paced action and brain-teasing puzzle solving as they attempt to infiltrate a gang den and take down the boss. Designed by Dvid Turczi, Noralie Lubbers, and Gordon Calleja, this roll-and-write game is easy to learn but difficult to master, as players must navigate through rooms filled with enemies and complete side objectives while building combos and triggering various abilities.

The game is divided into three phases: planning, fighting, and montage. During the planning phase, players roll and re-roll four dice in real time, trying to create a combination that matches an ability they wish to use during the upcoming fight phase. Players can then assign their dice to an ability, refill their hand with four dice from a common pool, and repeat the process as quickly as possible. Once the dice pool is depleted, the fighting phase begins. Players use the abilities they have triggered with their dice to move their piece through rooms filled with enemies, crossing them out as they defeat them. Finally, during the montage phase, players have the opportunity to heal and upgrade their characters, bringing new abilities and items into play to help them on their quest for vengeance.

Vengeance: Roll & Fight is available in two separate boxes, Episode 1 and Episode 2, each of which can accommodate up to four players. Both episodes are standalone games with their own unique heroes, dens, bosses, abilities, and items, but the content can be switched between them as desired. Players can combine both episodes to increase the player count from 1-4 to 1-8.
